Tower Construction provided Construction Management services for this 56,000 square foot major interior renovation. The project was a huge success exceeding schedule, budget and quality expectations.
The challenge of starting this project in late February and having it move in ready by May 1st was accomplished through several strategies. Long lead items were identified, and orders placed, prior to the start of construction. We enlisted a trusted group of subcontractors with a proven track record of performing under tight time frames and who have a team/get it done approach. In addition to a master schedule, a highly detailed three week look-ahead schedule was designed and updated weekly to head off and resolve scheduling conflicts. Our Superintendent was ever present; monitoring schedule, quality and safety, often going above and beyond to ensuring nothing slipped through the cracks.
This renovation included the typical carpet, tile, wallcovering, paint, ceiling tile & grid replacements and new installations. The millwork package included cabinetry in the Kitchen, Break Room, Conference Rooms and the Reception Area. Particularly unique was the custom round Board Room table that seats sixteen people with an integrated audio-visual system. Tower Construction aided in the design and had it manufactured to meet the specific needs of the room and the tenant.
The design, pricing, value engineering and installation of a new Mechanical Control System fell under our responsibilities, as did the security, access control and audio-visual systems.
The new Server Room was designed and installed with the latest In Row cooling equipment, and a 600 kw diesel powered generator was installed to power not only the Server Room, but the entire building.
In addition to the fantastic interior, Tower Construction was responsible for the replacement and beautification of the buildings landscaping.
